MANILA, Philippines,
August 7, 2008 – Telecommunications
giant Philippine Long Distance Telephone
Co. (PLDT) posted a 13-percent increase
in its first half net income to P19.3 billion,
from P17.1 billion in the same period last
year, top company officials said yesterday.
